MRO Technician

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is now recruiting for an MRO Technician to join our team at our Staverton site, where you'll support the maintenance, repair and overhaul of a variety of components.

The Role

As an MRO Technician, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of a variety of components in line with customer instructions. You'll use written instructions and appropriate test procedures to carry out required testing to the relevant specifications, accurately recording results as necessary.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week. The standard working pattern is:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am–3:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm

There is flexibility to adjust your start and finish times, while continuing to work your contracted hours.

Please be aware that, longer term, there may be a requirement for the role to move onto an early or late shift pattern. There is also the possibility that the role may move from our Staverton site to our Tewkesbury site in the future.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

• Experience working within an Assembly & Test environment
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electromechanical units and sub-assemblies
• Experience in fault-finding to board level
• Soldering experience, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering to 711, 610 and J-STD standards
• A relevant apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience

Previous experience within the aerospace or aviation industry isn't essential. Your experience may have been gained in roles such as Assembly Technician, Repair Technician, Fitter, Assembler or Tester.
