Junior Financial Controller / Junior Pénzügyi Kontroller (angolul beszélő)

As a Junior Financial Controller, you'll play an important role supporting the financial backbone of our company group, not only for furniture but also the toys division. Sound financial control and accurate reporting are what let us make good decisions and grow sustainably — so this role matters to us just as much as the departments that face the customer directly. If you join us, you'll help us build a fantastic e-commerce platform where customers can easily buy good-quality, affordable and inspiring furniture, by making sure the numbers behind it are solid, timely, and trustworthy.

Main tasks:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Reconcile accounts and monitor invoices, payments and receivables
• Assist with cost and variance analysis (budget vs. actual)
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain and update financial records and spreadsheets
• Assist with VAT and other statutory reporting requirements
• Liaise with external accountants/auditors as needed
• Support stock/inventory valuation and cost control
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports for management

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (final-year students welcome)
• 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling
• Proficiency with AI tools to automate and streamline workflows (e.g. spreadsheet/reporting automation, AI-assisted data analysis)
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Professional Business English skills are a must
• Experience with ERP systems like Odoo or similar
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• High level of precision and an analytical, problem-solving mindset
• Structured, reliable and organized working style
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Full-time position only (Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00)
• No remote work available

Nice to have:

• Hungarian language skills
• Experience or interest in e-commerce, retail, or import/logistics
