We are seeking an experienced Warehouse/Dispatch Manager for a Full-time position in Compton, CA.


Position Summary: The Manager will oversee the warehouse and containerized operations. The manager will be responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from suppliers and World Oil Corp. divisions, ensuring smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Along with managing containerized dispatch and oversight of driver scheduling. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures compliance and timeliness with all activities within the warehouse.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory requirements, and company policy by working with the Safety and Environmental Compliance Departments.
  • Plans, coordinates, trains, motivates, and evaluates warehouse and receiving employees' performance, ensuring their safe operation of material handling equipment.
  • Maintains an equipment structure suitable for the safe transport and storage of materials, researching appropriate equipment to ensure performance, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitors the unloading of materials into the receiving department, ensuring accurate receiving reports and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Oversee material supply to maintain consistent inventory
  • Safeguarding all parts washer solution container filling operations and container-to-truck product transfer.
  • Oversee containerized dispatching; collaborates with drivers to ensure delivery of routes and modifications of routes as needed.
  • Supervise the driver’s workforce and ensure compliance with all DOT regulations.
  •  Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The job plans and schedules the work of others.
  • The job provides training and instruction to others.
  • The job provides discipline and performance counseling.
  • The job assigns work activities to others.
  • The job sets goals and objectives for others.
  • This role supervises the following positions: Warehouse Technicians, Containerized drivers, administrator.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts (AA) or Bachelor’s (BA) degree in business, transportation or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience work experience in operations, inventory control, transportation, manifesting, hazardous materials, routing, and DOT regulations.
