Job Description

This role owns the performance management framework across inDrive's three partner-owned darkstore businesses reporting directly to the VP of Groceries. It is responsible for designing how performance is measured, setting and negotiating targets with each acquired company’s CEO, and tracking delivery against those targets through reliable, standardized reporting — giving the VP one credible view of how each market is actually performing against plan.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Framework Design
  • Design and own the performance management framework across the three darkstore businesses — KPIs, scorecards, review cadence, and escalation triggers
  • Define the metrics hierarchy from GMV and the contribution margin waterfall down to store-level operational drivers
  • Standardize reporting definitions across markets so performance is genuinely comparable, not just locally consistent
Target-Setting & Partner Accountability
  • Set and negotiate annual/quarterly targets with each partner CEO, aligned to board expectations
  • Track performance against targets, flag material gaps early, and ensure clear ownership for closing them
  • Prepare partner performance reviews and board materials with an honest, evidence-based read on each market
Reporting Infrastructure
  • Own the monthly reporting system — rollout, data quality, and reliability across all three markets
  • Build the recurring reporting cadence (monthly/quarterly) that feeds board reviews and forecast cycles
  • Partner with Finance to ensure financial and operational data reconcile
Cross-Functional Interface
  • Represent performance status in reviews with Finance and other relevant functions
  • Translate performance signals into clear, board-ready narratives for the VP

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years in performance management, business operations, or management consulting, ideally in a multi-market or portfolio business
  • Strong grasp of unit economics — how margin builds from revenue down to store-level profitability — not just topline GMV
  • Experience building or running KPI/reporting frameworks across multiple business units
  • Comfortable setting and negotiating targets with senior stakeholders — requires analytical rigor and diplomatic skill in equal measure
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA a plus
  • Fluent English required
  • Background in Groceries, e-commerce, or quick commerce is a strong plus
